Day 23: Annoyed face

So yesterday we played this game, Party&co with my brother, his girlfriend, my dad, my stepmom and my sister. We played this game with three teams, I was in a team with my stepmother. At first we left the others far behind us and we were almost winning and the team of my father won in two turns. We were all pretty annoyed, a good time to get my camera ready. Here is my sister looking annoyed because she (I was also annoyed, and my father just loved rubbing it into our faces) lost!
BYE!

Day 22: Gangsta face

Hi!
I thought this face was much alike to the previous one, cool kid face, but okay. I don't if you can see any difference but I have tried, and that is what counts!
This is the hand sign of West Side, which is probably cool to do (my sister's idea). My brother Cuno should have looked a little more serious or scary because real gangsters don't look like this. But on the other hand, my brother is never going to look like one. The sign which his hand should have looked like is this:
I tried to do it but it's very difficult, you should try it!
Goodbye and good luck!

Day 21: Cool kid face

Hi there!
I know a very cool kid, SHARISA, and she also happens to be one of my best friends! :) So at our Christmas lunch we made a picture together, looking cool. We had also just won a price, because we won the quiz!
Sharisa's posture also helps her looking cool, and I, well, that price made me feel cool ;)
 Bye bye!

Day 20: Confused face

Hey everyone!
As I was thinking on who could make this face really well, I immediately thought of Kayleigh! She always enters our history class with some kind of confusion on her face, though a lot of enthusiasm too. So here is Kayleigh with her confused face during a history class!
Goodnight and sleep well!

Day 19: Cute face

This day I did a little differently, I chose my cat to be on the picture. I have two cats named Dropje (as in liquorice but in Dutch it's like calling someone cute) and Hertog Jan (this is a famous Dutch beer brand). The first one is a female cat and the other one a male cat. The one I took a picture of is Dropje, she is so cute, and though she may look as a kitten she is about 7/8 years old.
I love the way she curls up on my lap when I'm sitting at the dining table or watching TV. We always say how lucky we are with such social cats!

I think it's interesting how we always ask if someone is a cats' or dogs' person and of course some are neither. I am definitely a cats' person, what would you respond if someone would ask you this?

Bye!!

Day 18: Creeper face

Easy one! My brother who listens to black metal and has long hair and a beard is perfect at being creepy. He scares me all the time, he enjoys that a lot. He says his job as a brother is to annoy his little sisters, well, I'm just thrilled about that. We can talk really well though and laugh too as we are one crazy family.

He is definitely more soft than he looks! Don't be scared if you see him on the streets.

See ya!

Day 17: Turned on face

Hello everyone,
this assignment was one of most difficult so far. I tried some faces at home with my family but they just weren't what I was looking for. At school I asked a friend of mine, Vita, if she could ask some guys to make this particular face. This is the one picture she could get, from Elias.
Though of course, this isn't a face you would make when being turned on. I don't even want to know what faces people would make when being.....
Move on to the next day please!

Day 16: Scared face

Hellooo,
this is one of the funniest pictures I took during my challenge. You have to see it first before I will explain it, but I definitely laughed my ass off.
HAHA! This is Hans again, and he is one of the most funniest men I know. This face was just an impulse because my sister and I were discussing scared face when Hans made this face out of nowhere. Luckily we captured it, because it's hilarious!
The next face if more difficult than expected so hopefully you will find it soon enough on my blog!
Byeee!

Day 15: Bored face

Hello!
So, bored face.. You would say that's very easy because everyday at school I'm at least once really bored. Well, true but at home it happens a lot too. Take a look:
As you can see, I am making my maths homework (or I hope you do) and because it's almost vacation I get bored with almost everything I have to do for school. I am also really tired and that helps too.

Well, let's just get it on with this week of school and let the holidays begin!

Day 14: Eating face

Good afternoon!
The pictures of this particular face were also made yesterday when we were eating our lunch at La Place.

My mother noticed what I was doing so she tried to smile but I had already made the picture! The other one is of my sister, of which you have already seen a few other pictures. She did not see that I was making a picture of her, so here is one grumpy looking, eating sister!

Goodbye!

Day 13: Sleeping face

Hiiiii!
So sleeping face... I could only think of making this pictures in the morning when everyone would be asleep or in the evening when my little sister would already sleep. Well I tried to capture both.

So the first picture is of my little sister. I went into her room with my penguin flesh light and tried as carefully as possible not to wake her. Short after I made the picture she scared the hell out of me, turned out that she wasn't asleep after all. Still, I have this fake-sleeping picture of her.
The second picture is of Hans, my step dad. He had been awake already, this is in the morning, but he was just trying to get more sleep. So the opportunity presented itself and I could make this picture!

Later!
p.s. When my sister and I go to my father's, he always falls asleep when we are watching TV. My sister has some pretty hilarious photos of him but I thought it would be too embarrassing for him if I would post them, sorry!

Day 12: Imma eat yoo face

Hello everyone and thanks for reading my blog!
I am a little behind on posting so you will find a lot of faces posted today. I have nevertheless worked hard on finding and capturing all the faces. Yesterday I went to Amsterdam to go shopping first and then my mother and I would go and see the ballet: Cinderella. It really was amazing! But back to the point, I made some pictures yesterday and these are the pictures of imma eat yoo face:

Haha, these pictures were made when we were eating in a Mexican/Argentine restaurant. The food was delicious so as you can see we wanted to eat it very badly.

Luckily you don't have to wait very long for my next post! ;)

Day 11: Crying face

I really have to say this is the most adorable crying picture EVER! I first asked the girl I babysit if she would want to fake cry for me, she is only three but she said yes. So I thought this is going to be fun and then she, well almost, starts crying because her food hurt, awwhhh. And I was thinking she was doing great pretending, oeps... Well I got her smiling fast afterwards anyway, so here is the picture!
Isn't she cute?

Day 10: Laughing face

Yeah, I succeeded in making pictures of those who were requested by Miss Williams. First Michelle and now the two Hannahs. Today an expression which all of us should love: laughing face! Since both Hannahs agreed to be on my blog on condition that it had to be a happy facial expression day. Well, what suits more than laughing face? I do have to give all credits for making the picture to Michelle, thanks Mies! :) Here is the happy/cute picture of the Hannahs:
See you later!

Day 9: Unamused face

Hello people who are enjoying the last bits of this weekend!
Today´s assignment is unamused face and I have to say, I had a lot of fun making the right picture. I´ll show you the picture first and then tell you the story!
This is my dad, unamused. The story is that every weekend I´m there I correct my father when he makes grammar mistakes, and he doesn´t like it. He can get really annoyed about it. While I was trying to capture an unamused face, I also captured some really funny faces of him which I swore I wouldn´t post on my blog! But they sure gave me a good laugh. We are a crazy family after all.

That was it for today, and good luck to you if you´re thinking on how you are going to survive another week of school. ;)

Day 8: Rawr face

Hello and nice to see you again this evening,
with today's assignment I could do something crazy, which I did and you'll see that because there's not only a human on the picture but an animal too!
This is my dog Nomi and my little (although she is taller than I am) sister Marinde. I guess you would think catlike when thinking about a rawr face, but I think a dog works as well too. You can see Marinde is trying to pretend she is a cat and acting angry-like, although now it's more as if she is trying to attack the poor dog. Nomi does get along fine with cats so don't worry :)

I'm just getting a little off the point so I think it is bedtime!
Sleep well!

Day 7: Sophisticated face

Hi,
a little late but better than never :) Yesterday evening I celebrated my birthday with some of my friends. Since I lately want to capture every moment to remember it later, making pictures was part of the evening. I especially tried the sophisticated look and here is the outcome:
I swear I didn't do the little pinkie on purpose! This is me and my close/crazy friend Sharisa. We were proud that our mojitos were so delicious! I want to post another picture which has nothing to do with the challenge but just because I love spending time with my friends because they are so great! I love you all!

And goodbye to the rest of you :)

Day 6: Bad odor face

Hallo iedereen! (Dutch for 'hello everybody!')
Today's assignment was easy because the whole school smelled awful today so the bad odor face was easy applicable. As Miss Williams requested Michelle to be on my blog, I asked Michelle for today's assignment:
Hihi, what a funny assignment. As Michelle said today, and I quote: 'The school has been smelling bad the whole week. Maybe I'm pregnant, HA KIDDING!' What a perfect statement when thinking about an idea for bad odor face. She totally looks the part!

That was it for today!

Day 5: Silly face

Hello loyal readers,
day 5 already, and since Miss Williams didn't want show her silly face (what she calls the 'Mr. van der Velden face') I had to come up with some different ideas. Since I had some discussions with my friends about what a silly face should look like, you may think these faces, which I thought were silly, are not what you would call silly. Well let's see them!

HA! I think there silly enough, a round of applause to my friends Daniëlle and Max who had the courage to show their silly faces to the rest of the world! (or at least the world who can access the internet)

Tomorrow another interesting day with bad odor as a challenge. Do you know which facial expression is meant by bad odor? If you do, visit my blog tomorrow and you'll see what I came up with and if you don't, get ready to be surprised! :)

Bye!

Day 4: Pissed off face

Hi everybody,
today is a new day and as you can already see today's challenge was pissed off face. Let's see what I've got:

The first girl is Lot, a sweet girl with whom I follow French, arts and music. During some of our lessons I've seen her being annoyed many times by our teacher so I thought she could do a perfect 'pissed off' face. Of course her expression isn't the same as when she is really annoyed because it is hard to capture spontaneous faces. Firstly because people can't make certain faces when they know they are being photographed and secondly because mobile phones aren't allowed during lessons.
The second girl is Eline and here is her 'pissed off' face when I asked if she could make one. You see it's less believable because it isn't the real face she would make when being pissed off.
Nevertheless I am happy that these two girls wanted to be photographed for my blog!

Tomorrow is a new day and I am already curious about what the pictures will be like!

P.s. you can post suggestions if you want to see a certain person on my blog ;)

Day 3: Sad face

Woah, that was fast! Kidding, I'm a little behind with posting so here is day 3 already. The challenge of today was sad face. Let's see the pictures:

The first person is Romy, the second Miss Williams and the third Lisa. With these pictures I wanted to state that it is very hard to put on a sad face when told to do so.  Though Miss Williams is definitely the winner!
Well, that was it!
See you laterrrr

Day 2: Happy face

Hi everybody,
yesterday I celebrated the Dutch celebration called Sinterklaas. The basic idea about Sinterklaas is that he is a generous man who gives presents to all the children. The celebration is for children obviously but it is also a good reason to spend time with your family and give each other presents.
Well, the facial expression I had to capture yesterday was happy face, an easy task.
Here are two of my favourite pictures:

My grandfather means a lot to me, and although his prognosis was only to live for a few more months, he is still alive! I wanted to post it because I feel happy while he's here, and I want to remember him as my crazy grandfather who always says 'Hey chick' when I see him.

The second picture is also one I love, I don't know what was going on but I love it because of the way we all look. You can of course see my grandfather- and mother, and the man left to me is my uncle. The look on our faces give me a happy, content feeling.

And that was it for day 2. Luckily you don't have to wait long for day 3 to be posted online! ;)

Yay! Day 1 has arrived: Regular face

Hello everyone,
Today, the first of December, my challenge has officially started!
The requested facial expression was regular face, so here it is:

I wanted to make a picture of my own face to start the challenge with, and I tried to look as if I didn't have any emotions, just my face, but I think I look quite sad. So I am sorry if you expected a somewhat happier face. Don't be deceived by this picture though, because I can be much fun! I hope I can proof that to you in the upcoming days!

Enjoy your Saturday and I'll see you tomorrow!

The Challenge

Hi again!
As you might have seen the title of my blog it ain't going to be about me. I will do a 30 day facial expression  challenge. I will start this challenge the first of December, I thought it would be more fun if I would start this challenge at the beginning of a month and continue with it the rest of the month. It gives a more complete feeling. This is the challenge I will be doing:

I chose this specific challenge because I think it's going to be rather difficult to capture all these faces. But that's what I really like about it, I will have to think beforehand about how to capture them. Also, December is a celebrations' month, which gives me the oppurtunity to capture special moments in a special way like this.
It's a shame though that I have to wait till the first of December, because I'm really excited about it. Because I just can't wait to start writing you might just see some posts before the beginning of next month.

Enjoy your sunday and be good!

maandag 19 november 2012

Hello everybody!

Hey you over there!
My name is Florette and today I'm starting my own blog! I do have to say it's part of my English assignment but I like the assignment so much I'm going to do more with this blog than I have to.
Firstly I will tell you a little something about myself.
I am sixteen years old and my birthday is the 29th of November which is next week! :)
I've got two brothers, Cuno (24) and Wessel (23), and two sisters, Pascaline (21) and Marinde(14). My parents are divorced so I live with my mother during the week and once every two weeks I visit my father on the weekend. Here are a few things that make me happy or which I like to do in my spare time:
-Spending time with my family and acting crazy  (as we are a crazy family)
-Traveling, I want to travel and see EVERYTHING! (I know that is a difficult thing to want..)
-Reading
-Hang out with my friends, I love movie nights and just laugh the whole time (Mojitos shouldn't be excluded to add a delicious drink to these nights)
-Watch movies and television series (though I prefer the cinema)

I am in my fifth of what my English teacher calls the 'university prep track' or just high school for us Dutchies, I do follow bilingual education, which is a bit different than the regular education. I graduate (or hope to) at the end of next year and although I don't know what I want to study afterwards I am excited about going to college!
Well, this was some small information about me, feel free to ask anything if you would want to.

Here included is a picture of my family and me. From left to right Cuno, Marinde, my mom, Pascaline, ME, Wessel.

Enjoy, and I'll see you later! (I'll probably say this only for my English teacher Miss Williams at the moment.. Maybe Romy too :) Well, it doesn't matter!)
